The Council for Economic Education’s (CEE's) Financial Literacy & Economic Education Conference is the nation’s premier event for K-12 educators that want to integrate economics and personal finance into their classrooms.
In addition to K-12 teachers, attendees include CEE’s affiliate network, economic educators, Federal Reserve System partners, educational researchers, and more.

Presentation Types
Presentation Formats
- In-Person Sessions: These sessions are held in-person at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles in Chantilly, VA without a virtual component.
- Hybrid Sessions: These sessions are delivered to both the in-person audience and for a virtual audience. The Presenter(s) will not be responsible for managing the A/V for their session, but will need to be aware that content ought to engage both the people in the room and a virtual audience.
- Virtual Sessions: These sessions will only be available virtually. The Presenter(s) will not be required to attend the Conference in-person, and will present via a virtual Conference platform in Zoom or a similar livestreaming/meeting service.
Conference Tracks
We are seeking proposals on innovative pedagogy in the following tracks for elementary, middle, and high school:
- Economics: Do you have great activities and lessons to bring economics to life in your classroom? How are you using real-world events to explore how economics affects our everyday lives?
- Personal Finance: Do you have great activities or lessons to help students engage in this topic and build their financial understanding? How are you integrating personal finance into other subjects such as career and technical education?
- Social Studies: Do you have interesting strategies to bring economics or personal finance content into your social studies classroom?
Our goal is to offer a balanced selection of workshops in these tracks with presentations by K-12 teachers, CEE affiliates, and others.
Culturally Responsive Teaching: To support teachers and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students, CEE is particularly interested in sessions that incorporate Culturally Responsive Teaching practices into your economics and personal finance classroom.
Presenters
Note: All communications regarding this proposal will be sent to the first speaker listed (the Chair). The Chair will be responsible for notifying all presenters regarding the status of the proposal. The number of presenters is limited to 3.
